Eogile: repositioning a software house to win bigger projects and better people

Client: Eogile, a French software house building custom applications and information systems. eogile.com
My role: Strategic advisor, through my consultancy
The challenge: Reposition to win bigger contracts in its fields of expertise, with existing and new clients
The result: Two key projects won and higher-profile hires attracted
What I launched: A new positioning and a new website

Sound familiar?

  • Your team does excellent work, but prospects cannot tell you apart from ten other firms.

  • You win projects, just not the size of project you want.

  • Your best clients buy one thing from you when they could buy much more.

The starting point

Eogile designs, builds, tests and supports custom software, and describes its approach as digital craftsmanship. It wanted to review its positioning so it could win bigger contracts in its fields of expertise, both with existing clients and with new ones.

How we worked

Listening first

We started with a workshop where the leadership team asked themselves the right questions: where their expertise was strongest, and where the bigger contracts they wanted would come from.

Deciding together

From the workshop came a sharper positioning, built around Eogile's fields of expertise and aimed at larger contracts with existing and new clients.

Going further

We did not stop at the positioning. We took it into a new website and wrote its copy, so clients and candidates met the new Eogile everywhere.

What changed

  • Two key projects secured

  • Higher-profile talent attracted

  • A new website and copy that match the positioning

  • Rated five stars by Eogile on Malt

“A perfectly run engagement. David got us asking ourselves the right questions and simply set the company off with fresh momentum.”
Jérôme, Eogile (translated from French, via Malt)

What it means for your business

Bigger contracts rarely come from working harder. They come from being clear about where you are expert, and saying it everywhere a buyer looks.
